For groups from 2 to 150 our five separate function rooms can be used for a vast range of events including conferences, meetings, cocktails parties, private dinners, presentations, seminars, wedding receptions, or product launches.

Boardroom

The Boardroom is located on level four of the harbour wing, features natural light and is ideal for small meetings. As a permanent boardroom setting, it seats 14 delegates and offers a built in whiteboard and projection screen.

Museum Hotel is able to cater for all your audio visual requirements. We offer a full range of equipment, from microphones to projector screens to widescreen LCD televisions and electronic whiteboards. Function catering

Hippopotamus, the hotels award winning restaurant, delivers an extensive selection of catering options for your conference or function, from simple morning teas to comprehensive banquet meals. Weddings

The Museum Hotel is the ideal place to hold your wedding reception in Wellington. Whatever you envision, the team will design a package to suit you. From your initial enquiry through to your big day, a dedicated coordinator will be available to assist with your every need.

The hotel has two elegantly appointed rooms suitable for weddings of up to 60 guests; the Agostini Room is located on level four of the harbour wing and offers expansive harbour views, opening onto a spacious private balcony. The Tamburini Room is located on the ground level and has the ability to open up into the hotels beautiful lobby.

Museum Hotel Location

Museum Hotel Wellington is a 165 room hotel located in the centre of Wellington city opposite a beautiful harbour and New Zealand’s national museum, Te Papa. The hotel is a short stroll to Courtenay Place, Wellington’s lively entertainment precinct, to the vibrant waterfront, Waitangi Park and to Oriental Parade’s promenade and beach. It is only a short drive to the international airport, and is easily accessed by taxi, shuttle or public transport for out-of-town attendees.
